I really liked this place. Would prefer if they didn't sauce the bottom of the rolls because they stuck to the place. The fried green tea ice cream was amazing

Went here for lunch. Wanted something fresh and clean. I did expect this to be a Teppanyaki spot where they cooked in front of you. Took my family of six and we all ate off the lunch menu. The food was fresh yummy and satisfying. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I'd definitely recommend this spot.
Very friendly service. Rolls were good. Got reservations which was good since it was packed on a Sunday evening. Prices are good too. Would recommend.
Food was great and the service was even better! We had the bento box with teriyaki and the rainbow roll. Very delicious and fresh. Great place for lunch. Good music which creates a good ambiance. Very friendly and attentive associates!
Lunch at KUMI Sushi Grill was really nice! The restaurant was really clean, bright and had great decor. The staff were all helpful and friendly. The menu was packed with great options! From Bulgolgi to Tofu, KUMI has it all. I had the Mixed Tempura Bento Box that came w/miso soup & 4-5 pcs of shrimp tempura & veggies [$14.50]. Added a couple of items: Cali roll [$2.50] & 3 pieces of sashimi (chose yellowtail) [$5.50] and was pleasantly surprised at how good everything was! One small complaint was that the sashimi tasted a little watery. I guess it's cause they keep the fish on top of ice or something cold? IDK, but it was somehow watered down. I should also mention that the sushi roll we ordered Caterpillar [$15.50] did come out before the Takoyaki [$5.95] app. Both tasted really good regardless of the order they came out, but if you order an app, we assume it'll always come out first. Solid meal at Kumi Sushi. Will visit again to try more of their menu. Parking is plentiful, but can get packed at peak times. See ya soon!
Stumbled upon Kumi Sushi after visiting Kearny Mesa area with friends . Since I was on the go, I decided to order take out. It's a cute location near Starbucks and across the street from In n out. I ended up ordering the Philadelphia roll, Dynamite roll and Crispy roll. All rolls were very delicious and yummy. Sushi felt very fresh. I ended up going back again the following week. Definitely worth it to visit. Next time I will make time to dine in.
Had a nice lunch with my Father catching up on the latest news in his life. After one of his Dr appointments we decided to get some lunch and chose this spot. It was a busy day in the restaurant. Tyler took care of us. We appreciate his prompt attention working hard to take care of us and everyone else. We chose the following * LUNCH BENTO BOX Charbroiled chicken topped with house-made teriyaki sauce Served with rice, miso soup and salad and California roll 4pcs *Spring rolls - Fried vegetable spring rolls *Chicken Teriyaki Bowl -Charbroiled chicken, vegetables, house teriyaki sauce. I asked for the teriyaki on the side and breast for additional charge *Shrimp Crunch -IN: Shrimp tempura, Krab, Cucumber, Avocado TOP: Crushed tempura, Eel sauce *Caterpillar rolled Caterpillar- IN: Freshwater eel, Krab, Cucumber TOP: Avocado, Eel sauce Veggie Roll Everything was delicious! I even ordered to go rolls to enjoy with Ohana later. Check this place out.
